Bought as a present for my daughter who is struggling to learn to crochet. When used in conjunction with Bella Coco’s You Tube videos there is simply no excuse to give up! Beautifully clear explanations and illustrations.
Beautiful book, but you should know it uses UK crochet terms. If you already know or will be using US terms in the future, it could be confusing. She does include a handy conversion table flap to use.

This is a great book for learning about all things crochet for the beginner. It is well laid out and easy to read and follow. I’ve been working my way through the different projects and been enjoying each one. I had bought a Learn to Crochet book previously which was fine but lost me at times. This is more straight forward. With pretty projects to give some inspiration!

Best book for teaching crochet
Good for a beginners the instructions for the hat are wrong . No instruction for making the body of the hat - not good .
Bella Coco instructions are very easy to follow even for beginners and are backed up by online videos

It’s a really pretty book and lots of lovely ideas to crochet however if I couldn’t even figure out how to do the first slip knot from her instructions without having to refer to an online video instead I feel it can’t really be that good! A beginners book should be an idiots guide as I felt like an idiot trying to contend slip knot using the instructions in this book
Great beginner book. Easy to understand and follow. I find it very useful as I am new to crochet. The price is a bit pricey for a basic crochet book.

I hate this BEGINNER crochet book. I have crocheted before many years ago and decided to get back at it and this book literally made me want to quit! First off I bought it because someone I consider a knowledgeable crocheter on YouTuber recommended it (guess who I don’t follow on YouTube anymore). The book is authored by someone from the UK. Nothing wrong with that except that the terminology is different from US and having to constantly look at the “conversion chart” is a pain. Now I could look past that and did for quite a few of the patterns but then you get to the infinity scarf where she just adds a new stitch in that there is no example of how that stitch should Look. There’s an “explanation of it on the abbreviations page but that’s it! I even went to her YouTube channel because she is indeed a YouTuber. No help. I had to go to someone else’s channel for a demonstration of the stitch. Well I got through that godforsaken pattern only to finally throw it in the trash upon getting to the cowl scarf.There are certain stitches a that have lots of detailed instructions and pictures and then some that have nothing! Do you know what it does to yarn to have to constantly undo it!?If you are a seasoned crocheter I guess maybe I’d recommend it to you. There are beautiful products to be made. But if you are a beginner or even a somewhat experienced crocheter don’t get this book.I literally throw it in the trash instead of donating it for some unassuming to get saddled with it.
I am a beginner to crochet, this is a great book and very easy to follow and learn all the stitches and the tips to crochet.
Great explanations and clear photos. One of the top "how to" crochet books. If you only want to buy one instruction book, this is it imo.
I learned some great crochet tips from the book but it was missing so much important information. I feel if you’re going to write a book about any new skill you should provide more information than not enough!! I had so many questions while trying to learn from this book. I kept going back pages thinking I missed something or even misunderstood the information given. I watched a YouTube video and had all of my questions answered in minutes.
