The Sweet Pea Scrunchies are a quick and easy make that's perfect for busting through your stash. These cute scrunchies add a beautiful handmade touch to any outfit, and with two sizes included in the pattern, you'll want to make them in every single colour!

Skill level: Beginner

Materials needed:

• Yarn: Yarnsmiths Cotton, 100% Cotton, Aran (#4), 50g (1.75oz), 80m (87yds). Colours used in samples: Light Orchid (4338), Pink Sherbet (4406), Ecru (4042). Mini: Approx 6.5g of MC and 3.5g of CC. Maxi: Approx 15.5g of MC and 7g of CC.

• Hook: 4.5mm (US 7)
• Scissors
• Darning Needle
• Hair Ties

Sizing:
Pattern is written in two sizes: Mini and Maxi

Mini: 9cm X 9cm (3.5in x 3.5in) approx

Maxi: 10cm X 10cm (4in X 4in) approx

• Slip Stitch(s): ss(s): Insert hook, yarn over, pull through stitch and loop on hook.
• Chain(s): ch(s): Yarn over, pull through loop on the hook.
• Repeat: rep
• Main Colour: MC
• Contrast Colour: CC
• Invisible Join: Cut yarn leaving a 15cm tail and thread onto darning needle. Insert under both loops of the first stitch, pull through, then insert back down through centre of the last stitch. Pull snug and weave in the end.
• Standing Double Crochet(s): sdc(s): With slip knot on hook, insert hook centre of hair tie, yarn over, pull up a loop around the hair tie, you will have two loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through remaining two loops.
  
• Double Crochet(s): dc(s): Insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have two loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through remaining two loops.
• Half Treble Crochet(s): htr(s): Yarn over, insert into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have three loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through remaining three loops.
