Slip Stitch(s): ss(s): Insert hook, yarn over, pull through stitch and loop on hook.
Chain(s): ch(s): Yarn over, pull through loop on the hook.
Double Crochet(s): dc(s): Insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have two loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through remaining two loops.
Half Treble Crochet(s):htr(s): Yarn over, insert into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have three loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through remaining three loops.
Back Loop Only: BLO: Working into the back loop only of a stitch.
Special Stitches
Beginning Feather Stitch (BFS): Yarn over, insert hook into first ch-sp, yarn over, pull up a loop in line with loops on the hook (3 loops on hook), yarn over, insert hook into ch-1 sp or skipped st two rows below, yarn over, pull up a loop in line with loops on the hook (5 loops on hook), yarn over, insert hook in next ch-1 sp, yarn over and pull up a loop in line with loops on the hook, yarn over and pull through all 7 loops on the hook.
Feather Stitch (FeS): Yarn over, insert hook into same ch-1 sp as last part of previous BFS or FeS, yarn over and pull up a loop in line with loops on the hook (3 loops on hook), yarn over, insert hook into ch-1 sp or skipped st two rows below, yarn over and pull up a loop in line with loops on the hook (5 loops on hook), yarn over, insert hook in next ch-1 sp, yarn over and pull up a loop in line with loops on the hook, yarn over and pull through all 7 loops on the hook.
Feather Stitch (FeSin): Yarn over, insert hook into same ch-1 sp as last part of previous BFS or FeS, yarn over and pull up a loop in line with loops on the hook (3 loops on hook), yarn over, insert hook into ch-1 sp or skipped st two rows below, yarn over and pull up a loop in line with loops on the hook, ch 1.
The next feather stitch will then be worked into the same two spaces of this stitch.
