The end of Summer is the ideal time to make this seriously beautiful sleeveless mohair top. Made from warm fibres to keep away the chill, the lacy design is airy enough that you won’t overheat in the last of the Summer sunshine. I’m so happy to welcome Pirjo on to my blog to share the design for this wonderful crochet top.

pattern notes

Written in UK terms

Gauge – 5cm x 5cm = 9 stitches, 6 rows

  • XS/S: 87 chains (2×41 cm wide x 59 cm tall)
  • S/M: 96 chains (2×46 cm wide x 59 cm tall)
  • M/L: 105 chains (2×51 cm wide x 59 cm tall)
  • L/XL: 114 chains (2×56 cm wide x 59 cm tall)

This top is a very lacy pattern and stretches quite a lot so if your stitches look too loose, you should consider a smaller hook.

special stitches

Soloman knot (csk): Use the hook to pull up the loop up to a taller height, 1.5 cm. (Looks like a long chain stitch) YO and then pull through the loop on the hook. Insert the hook under the single loop in the back and then YO and pull through first loop on hook. Finally, YO and pull through both loops.

The Soloman knot loop should be around 1.5 cm, the bigger loop makes the pattern too baggy.
