Flutter and Bloom Blanket
Crochet the wonderful Flutter and Bloom Blanket, this stunning pattern is made using overlay mosaic crochet worked in the round. This technique creates such a lovely textured fabric, perfect to brighten up your home and celebrate the beauty of spring in bloom.
This blanket is made of 2 different square mosaic designs. You will be making 6 of each design before joining and adding a final border. The PDF Pattern is provided in both UK and US crochet terms.

Materials needed:
- Yarn: Yarnsmiths Create, DK (#3), 100% Acrylic, 290m (317yds)/ 100g (3.5oz) 4 balls (1155yds) in shade, Off White 3045 (MC), 2 balls (509yds) in shade Lime Green 3190 (CCB) and 2 balls (527yds) in shade Petal Pink 3364 (CCC).
- Hook: 4mm (G-6) or size needed to meet gauge.

Completed Size:
Squares: Approx 33cm X 33cm (13in X 13 in) each after light blocking.
Full Blanket: Width 112cm (44in) Height 145cm (57in)
Gauge:
Your squares will measure 6.5cm (2.5in) after 5 rounds.

Double Crochet(s): dc(s): Insert hook into next stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have two loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through remaining two loops.
Standing Double Crochet(s): sdc(s): With slip knot on hook, insert hook into next stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have two loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through remaining two loops.
Back Loop Only Double Crochet: BLOdc: Insert hook into the back loop only of the next stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have two loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through remaining two loops.
Half Treble Crochet(s): htr(s): Yarn over, insert into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have three loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through remaining three loops.
Decrease Half Treble Crochet(s): DEChtr(s): (Yarn over, insert into next stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop) twice, you will have five loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through all five loops.
Treble Crochet(s): tr(s): Yarn over, insert into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have three loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through two loops, yarn over, pull through remaining two loops.
Front Loop Only Treble Crochet 2 rows down: FLOtr2d: Yarn over, insert into the front loop only of the stitch two rows down, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have three loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through two loops, yarn over, pull through remaining two loops.
Double Treble Crochet(s): dtr(s): Yarn over hook twice, insert into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have four loops on the hook. (Yarn over, pull through two loops) twice, yarn over, pull through remaining two loops.
Front Loop Only Treble Crochet two together 2 rows down: FLOtr2tog2d: Yarn over, insert into the front loop only of the first indicated stitch two rows down, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have three loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through two loops. Yarn over, insert into the front loop only of the next indicated stitch two rows down, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have four loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through two loops, yarn over, pull through remaining three loops. This stitch appears throughout the pattern using different symbols to show varied stitch placements, please refer to page 13 & 14 for the stitch placements.
Front Loop Only Treble Crochet three together 2 rows down: FLOtr3tog2d: Yarn over, insert into the front loop only of the previous stitch two rows down, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have three loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through two loops. (Yarn over, insert into the front loop only of the next stitch two rows down, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have four loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through two loops) twice. Yarn over, pull through remaining four loops.
